• Question: There is radiotherapy,chemotherapy,bone marrow transplants and surgery what other treatments are there available and what are the side affects?

      I think that you’ve got most of the cancer treatments there already – I can’t think of any more at the moment. They all have different side effects, even different types of chemotherapy have different side effects, like some make your hair fall out and others don’t.

      You’ve mentioned all the main treatments. The only other relatively common treatment is hormonal treatment – breast and prostate cancers sometimes respond to hormones. I don’t know what the side effects of hormonal therapies are though, sorry!
