• Question: would it be possible to utilise plasma as a weapon?

      Yes, but not a very good one. All attemps to make long-range plasma-based weapons have failed. There is one device under research in the US though, called the PEP (pulsed energy projectile), which is non-leathal and might be used for crown control.
