Get better. Science always builds on past work, so it can’t really get worse. Bad science only happens when its foundations are shown to be wrong.

I think that science will improve: we will carry on learning new things, and people will invent new techniques and technologies to help us carry out even more sophisticated experiments.

Because of the way that science works, we can assume quite safely that our knowledge of the world around us will always tend to improve (even if we generate more questions than we answer, it is still progressing towards the truth). I hope that cancer research will improve in the next 50 years from our better understanding of cancer genetics and finding better drugs which kill cancer cells more efficiently , and without harming healthier cells.
