      Hi irishpants.
I used information from doctors notes to find out that the number of women who take hormone therapy (a medicine women in their 50s sometimes take) has dropped by half since 2002 – that’s really good to know, because taking hormone therapy for a long time can make women more likely to get breast cancer.

In the project I’m doing at the moment, so far I’ve discovered a new protein that seems to be important for determining when cells die. Now I’m working on trying to figure out exactly what it does and how it does it. The idea is that if I learn more about it, we might be able design drugs to target it and make cancer cells die.
