• Question: Hi there my question is about the brain , how does it tell us what to do , and are our nerves attacted to the brain ?

      The brain tells other parts of the body what to do by sending small electrical signals down out nerve cells (which are called neurons). Some of our nerves are attached directly to the brain, but lots of them are attached to our spinal cord and our spinal cord is attached to our brain.

      The brain is an incredibly complicated structure, and we don’t understand much about how it works. And I don’t know much of what is known!
      But I can tell you that the brain is largely composed of cells called neurons, and you can think of those as being a bit like the circuit board of a computer. The neurons are wired up to each other and communicate with one another to make the brain function. And yes, most of our nerves run up through the spinal cord and into the brain – that’s how the brain communicates with the rest of the body.
