• Question: How many of your friends are scientists?

      Quite a few of my friends are scientists because I have met them while I’ve been at university. Not all of the friends who were studying science when I met them at university are still scientists and I also have friends who have never studied science.

      I have a LOT of friends who are scientists, because I’ve met a lot of great people during my time as a scientist.

      But out of my school friends, none are scientists, and of my university friends only two, I think.

      Not many, only the ones I met at uni or at work. None of my old friends from school or college have become scientists.

      A lot of them! It’s nice because it’s easy to understand each others lives and avoid typical comments like: why do you work long hours if you are not paid the extra time. But to be honest I really enjoy the company of friends from different backgrounds…
