• Question: If a person has asthma, what is better, carpet or wooden flooring?

      That depends on what the triggers are that set off a particular person’s asthma. If people are allergic to house-dust mites then wooden flooring is better than carpet.

      Hi Sulekha007, I think we talked about this in today’s live chat!

      I would have thought that wooden flooring would be better, because it’s easier to keep clean: carpets trap dust, which can be bad for asthmatics.

      I don’t know, but as a guess, I’d say wooden flooring, because it wouldn’t habour as much dust.

      I would assume that wooden flooring is better, because it can be cleaned more easily, removing the dust to which the person might be allergic.

      I would think that wooden floor is better than carpet, because easier to clean and gives less chance of allergenic stuff trapped in it
