That doesn’t sound like a very good idea. There aren’t many parts of your body that you don’t need, and removing them would be pretty dangerous just to lose weight.
The important thing for your health is not to be carrying too much fat, so taking body parts out wouldn’t help your health, and it probably wouldn’t make you look thinner either.
That reminds me of an old man I met in a pub once. He overheard a couple of people at the bar talking about weight loss, and butted in, saying ‘I managed to lose more than a stone in one night’. He then lifted up his trousers, to show that he had a false leg! ‘Car accident’ he said.
Yes, removing all your spare parts would be a way of losing weight. In fact, removing excess fat (a ‘tummy tuck’) is an operation that some obese people have. Removing organs would be a very silly idea though. You’d regret it if your one kidney failed.
well, technically you would loose weight, but I find hard to think of parts of the body that we don’t need, apart from the appendix (and that is pretty small, so I don’t think you would loose much weight!).
No, definitely I don’t think it would be a good idea, I would much prefer to stick with a healthy diet and physical exercise
But there are very few organs that you don’t need: of the top of my head, I can only think of tonsils and appendix as being organs you can live without. And just losing them wouldn’t make you lose much weight. Probably chopping an arm or a leg off would be more effective – but just as extreme, I don’t recommend it 🙁
