• Question: Personally what is your greatest achievement?

      I think my greatest achievement so far is finishing my DPhil (which is just another name for a PhD). I found it really difficult and really had to push myself to my limits to get it finished.

      I hope that in the future I will be able to achieve something that is more about other people and less about me though!

      I would say that my greatest achievement so far has been to get data challenging the accepted view about how two particular proteins work together. These two proteins are both implicated in cancer, so understanding more about how they work is important for finding treatments. I was very proud to get my work published in a good journal.

      My greatest achievement academically is my first in my physics degree. Outside of my work, it’s making a happy home with my girlfriend Hannah.
