• Question: What are your thoughts on the Bermuda Triangle?

      The idea that an unusual number of planes and boats go missing in the Bermuda triangle is an urban legend. When people look at the records of the number of missing planes/boats, then there is nothing unusual about it.

      The ‘mysterious’ disappearances associated with the Bermuda triangle region were either made up, inaccurate or no more mysterious than those found in any other area of the ocean:

      It’s just another example of man’s desire to see patterns (and blame them on the ‘supernatural’) where none exist.

      Sorry issiphee1 – I don’t know anything about the Bermuda Triangle – other than that there are stories about boats and planes disappearing there.

      I don’t know anything scientific about the Bermuda Triangle, but I very much doubt that there’s anything mysterious going on… I’m sure that if it’s true that lots of ships and planes go missing there, there is a good explanation for it, even if we don’t know that explanation yet!
