There are ways of alleviating the symptoms of a cold, like keeping hydrated, resting, taking paracetomol and caffeine – but there is no known way of getting it rid of it. You just have to wait it out!

There isn’t really any way to get rid of a cold, other than waiting for your immune system to deal with it. You can help your immune system out by getting lots of rest, and drinking plenty to make sure you’re not dehydrated (when you have a cold you tend to lose a lot of fluid from your body, partly through snot and partly through sweat if you’ve got a temperature)

There isn’t a cure for a cold, you just have to wait that your body does its work to get rid of it. In the meantime you can help your body fighting the cold by eating well (plenty of fruit and veg, water and the old grandmother remedy that is chicken soup!) and giving yourself rest at home (which is also good to avoid to infect other people)

Just doing all the things that give your body the best chance to fight the virus I think, like getting plenty of sleep, eating healthy food and drinking lots of water/liquids.
