• Question: When do you believe the world will end and what will be the reasons for it ending ???

      Well, in about 5 billion years, the sun will become a red giant and engulf the earth, destroying all thats on it. With the way we treat our planet, I’m sure the human race will have gone extinct long before that happens.

      I believe the world will end when the sun expands to become a red giant in around 5 billions years time. I don’t think our descendents will necessarily be around then though, because it seems likely we will wipe ourselves out – but I hope we don’t!

      I don’t know when the world will end. I don’t know very much about space and planets and things, but I think that eventually all stars burn out and die, so I guess that all the life on earth will die when the sun is dying – it looks from Leo and Iain’s answers like we’re expecting it to happen in about 5 billion years and the earth will be completely destroyed too – but I didn’t know that before I read their answers.

      Wow, this is a big question! As I understand it, at some point the sun will burn out, and that will be the end of life on earth because we’re completely reliant on the sun’s energy. That’s a really, really, really long time in the future.
      But at the rate we’re going, the human race is going to destroy our planet way before that – we need to start being much more eco-friendly if we want the earth to keep sustaining us.
