      We don’t know all the reasons why some people are more likely than others to get cancer – that’s why there are still lots of people researching it. The main things though are that older people are much more likely to get cancer than younger people, and that smokers are much more likely to get cancer than non-smokers.

      Old people are the most likely to develop cancer. That’s because the older you are, the more cancer-promoting factors (like sunlight, cigarette smoke etc) you’ve been exposed to and the more time your cells have had to pick up mutations
