      Blinking spreads tears across the surface of the eye. This helps remove irritants, like dust, and stops the eye from drying out (yuck!). Did you know that infants blink far less frequently than adults – but we don’t yet know why!

      An average person will blink nearly 450,000,000 times in their lifetime!
