why do we have eyebrows?

Question: why do we have eyebrows?

  I had to look this up because I had no idea! It seems that the most likely reason we have little strips of hair above our eyes is to help keep rain and sweat out of our eyes.

  I would guess that we kept hair where our eyebrows are when we evolved to lose the rest of the hair on our face because they protect our eyes, but that’s only a guess.

I thought they were to show emotion, my brother had his eyebrows shaved off and I couldent tell when he was angery or surprised or anythimg.
