Scientists currently believe that the earth will be engulfed by the expanding, dying Sun when it enters the ‘red giant’ phase of its life. This will happen in around 5 billion years time. So, if humans are still around then (despite, it would seem, our best efforts to annihilate each other), our survival depends upon leaving the solar system to settle elsewhere.

Yes, it will. In a few billion years, the sun will run out of fuel and turn into a red giant, engulfing the earth and destroying it. However, unless us humans learn how to live sustainibly upon our planet, we will be long exinct before then.

Yes, it will end one day. But if we all try to be more ecologically friendly and look after our planet better than we’re doing now, that day will be so far away that none of us need worry about it.
